Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga is a proper role-playing game that respects your time on mobile. Battles are turn-based, so you can pause mid-fight to answer a text without losing your place. The story unfolds gradually across a fractured kingdom, and the writing is better than it needs to be.

What kept us hooked was the party building. You recruit a mix of characters with distinct abilities, and mixing them into a working team is genuinely satisfying. There's an auto-battle option for grinding, but the tougher fights actually reward manual play.

It asks for patience early on, and the first hour is a little heavy on menus. Push through and it opens up into one of the more rewarding mobile RPGs we've played this year.
