Casinacho Games: our first week with the arcade bundle
We tend to be skeptical of arcade bundles, because a lot of them are just three good games and twelve filler ones. Casinacho Games earned some goodwill early by loading fast and getting straight to the point. There's a short intro, then you're picking a mini-game from a bright, clear menu.
The controls are what sold us. Everything is tap and swipe, and the game reads your input the instant you make it. That matters a lot in the timing-based challenges, where a laggy response would kill the fun. We tried it on a phone that's a couple of years old and it still ran smoothly.
Our advice: don't try to play every mini-game at once. Find two or three that click with you and chase high scores on those. The replay value comes from beating your own best runs, not from marathoning the whole collection in one sitting.
After a week we still had it installed, which is more than we can say for a lot of things we test. It's not deep, and it's not trying to be. It's a friendly, well-built arcade collection for short breaks, and it does that job well.
