Lantern Hollow

Lantern Hollow is a gorgeous, gentle adventure game. You wander a hand-drawn village, talk to its residents, and untangle a web of small mysteries. There's no combat and no failure state, just the pleasure of poking at every corner until it gives something up.

The art is the star, but the puzzles hold their own. Most involve paying attention to what people say and connecting the dots, and the game is happy to let you sit with a problem. We finished it over a few cozy evenings and immediately wanted more.

If you like your adventures slow and atmospheric, this one is a treat. Play it with headphones; the ambient sound design does a lot of quiet work.
